Charter

Core Principles

The standards every VPO pilot operates under.

Doctrine on the front page is the short version. This is the document it comes from.

  1. Fight to win

    • Top tier Air Arcade matches are played to win.
    • We stay in the fight. Leaving early puts teammates a pilot down and hands the other team the match.
    • Pilots bring lineups that can hold their own when the squadron is contesting a session.
  2. Active duty

    • Regular participation in top tier Air Arcade is expected of every member of the competitive roster.
    • Call to Action: any member facing a coordinated enemy team can raise a CTA. Available pilots rally to top tier to help. Treat it as a real request and use it accordingly.
    • Real life first. Time zones, shift work and burnout are all real. Tell leadership if you are going to be away for a stretch and your spot is held.
  3. Conduct

    • Do not intentionally offend, mock, harass or threaten anyone. That applies equally to VPO members, other squadrons, and random players.
    • Zero tolerance: glorification of Nazism, hate speech, and discriminatory ideology are prohibited outright. This is the one rule with no discussion attached to it.
    • Disagreements between members are handled privately first, and leadership will mediate when they are not resolved.
  4. Communication

    • Discord is mandatory. It is where information is shared and where coordination happens.
    • Voice is required for fly-outs, training sessions and Call to Action events, and strongly encouraged the rest of the time.
    • Flying without a mic is fine, provided you use in-game callouts and text so teammates keep their situational awareness.
